The BCS Practitioner Certificate in Information Risk Management course is designed for individuals who wish to gain recognised qualifications in the area of information security, data protection and risk management. The course provides a robust foundation knowledge across a range of topics, from understanding data security, risk assessment and planning, to developing effective controls.
The course also covers the key elements of creating and implementing an information risk management framework, including topics such as risk identification, assessment, measurement and monitoring, as well as guidance on selecting countermeasures and implementing control objectives.
The course consists of three compulsory modules covering information security, risk management and data protection. Each module includes a range of topics, lectures and practical sessions, allowing students to develop a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and practical application of information security and risk management. Exams will be taken at the end of each module to assess progress and upon successful completion, students will receive a BCS Practitioner Certificate in Information Risk Management.
