Course Prerequisites
  • Basic understanding of networking and device performance statistics
  • Network management experience is required including polling, syslogs, IP formation, ports, credentials, device access, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and Secure Shell (SSH)
  • Understanding of fundamentals of network alarms and events
  • Experience with configuration of optical network devices and provisioning optical circuits using TL1 (CLI) or the Cisco Transport Controller application
  • Experience with configuration of network devices and provisioning services using a device’s Command-Line Interface (CLI)
  • VMware experience along with the installation of OVA files on virtual machines and/or ISO software on bare-metal machines
