Webinar Overview
AI agents are powerful — until they need to talk to an agent built by another team, on another platform, in another language. That's the silo the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol is designed to break. This 1-hour session dives into A2A v1.0, the open, production-ready standard for cross-framework agent communication, and shows how the Microsoft Agent Framework brings it to life with zero protocol boilerplate. This session is designed for developers, architects, and AI engineers who want to move beyond single-framework agent prototypes and understand how to discover, host, and consume agents across service, team, and organizational boundaries — the same way HTTP and REST once made cross-platform web services possible. Participants will see how a remote A2A agent behaves like any other agent in code, how to expose an existing agent as an A2A endpoint in minutes, and how this enables real interoperability — including a live cross-framework demo where a Microsoft Agent Framework agent collaborates with an agent built on a completely different stack.
Key Points

  • Why Agents Need to Talk Across Boundaries
  • Introduction to the Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol v1.0
  • A2A vs In-Process Agent Composition — When to Use Which
  • Agent Discovery via the Agent Card (/.well-known/agent.json)
  • Consuming Remote Agents: A2AAgent as a First-Class AIAgent
