Course Prerequisites

  • System Administration Experience: Experience with system administration on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems is highly beneficial.


  • Networking Knowledge: A good understanding of networking concepts, which includes the basics of switching, routing, and subnetting.


  • Storage Knowledge: An understanding of basic storage concepts, such as storage arrays, storage networking technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc.), and the basics of the VMware vSAN™.


  • vSphere Knowledge: Knowledge of the use of VMware vSphere® Web Client, purpose, and functionality of vSphere components, and the ability to use VMware vRealize® Operations™ to analyze vSphere environment data.
