NetWorker Implementation and Management Course Overview


This course provides the skills and knowledge necessary for organizations to successfully implement, manage, and maintain an effective NetWorker backup and restoration system. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of all aspects of NetWorker system administration. It covers topics such as storage node configuration, storage pool and data protection setup, client backup and restore operations, data streaming and replication, replication director configuration and maintenance, NWLO usage, and more. The course is hands-on and features lab exercises throughout. Audience: This course is intended for IT professionals responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining NetWorker systems. Prerequisite Knowledge and Skills: Interpersonal abilities, basic knowledge of Windows and UNIX, working knowledge of SAN, NAS and Tape. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: • Install, configure and maintain NetWorker systems • Perform backup and restore operations • Replicate data between sites • Create custom compression and encryption rules • Setup and manage storage nodes • Execute NWLO commands • Describe best practices for performance, storage, and disaster recovery.
