The Enterprise Storage Networking Design course is an introductory course to storage networking designs. This course will cover topics related to design of data centers, storage network architectures, network protocols, storage networks, storage devices and storage security. It will also cover storage architectures such as SATA, SCSI, SAS, and Fibre Channel.
The course helps to provide an understanding of network storage design, selection of right storage, data protection and disaster recovery techniques, and various metrics and measures to efficient storage networks. The primary objective of this course is to teach the concepts, principles, and technologies used in today’s networked data centers for storage and data management.
The technologies and tools covered in the course are:
• Disk technologies, including basic hard disk architecture, RAID levels and file systems
• Fibre Channel protocols, including zoning and algorithms
• IP Storage protocols, such as iSCSI and Fibre Channel over Ethernet
• Storage access protocols, such as SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and DAS
• Network Technologies, including Ethernet and high-speed network switching
• Virtualization and cloud computing related to storage and data
• Advanced storage technologies, such as replication, snapshots and deduplication
• Performance metrics and tuning
• Storage management and storage security
This course is recommended to anyone looking to learn more about storage and storage networks, or anyone looking to attain skills to design, implement and manage storage network solutions.
This is a Rare Course and it can be take up to 3 weeks to arrange the training.
