What is a PMP?

A Project Management Professional Certification is designed to help professionals upgrade their project management skills and learn the various industry practices that meet with the modern challenges. How many attempts will it take to pass the PMP Certification Exam?

As per PMI, an applicant can take upto 3 attempts in a calendar year to pass the exam. However, with focused training program by Koenig Solutions, your chances of passing are higher.

What is the passing score for PMP Certification?

The passing score was once 81%, which was reset to 61% in 2005, which meant that PMP applicants need to answer 106 or more out of the 175 questions. From December 2005, PMI has stopped publishing the passing score. Now the passing score for every applicant is different and is based on the difficulty level of questions being attempted. Also, the PMP Exam report card was revised in 2007 and now gives only the proficiency levels (i.e. Proficient, Moderately Proficient and Below Proficient).

What types of questions are expected in PMP Certification Exam?

PMP certification exam will have questions that will test all your knowledge on various aspects of project management. In this exam, PMI will test your analytical, logical, mathematical, management and leadership skills. The PMP exam consists of six different kinds of questions:

How much time will I have to complete the PMP certification exam?

You need not be a PMI member to apply for the PMP Certification examination. But there are few benefits of becoming a PMI member. One of the benefits is you get adiscount on the PMP examination if you are a PMI member. Also being a member you are entitled to standards published by PMI.

How long is the validity period of PMP training certification?

The validity period of PMP Training Certification is for three years and your job to renew the certification starts immediately when you receive the same. You follow the CCR (Counting Certification Requirements) and are supposed to earn sixty Professional Development Units during these three years. After completing this, your certification is extended for next three years.
