Course Prerequisites
  • Basic Computer Knowledge.

Upon Completion of this Course, you will accomplish following:

  • Understand the design life cycle of data center and the stages included
  • Explain the data center requirements in great level of detail to sellers, suppliers and contractors to ensure that these requirements are met
  • Identify redundancy levels for both, the data center design/setup and maintenance
  • Understand different building considerations such as bullet proofing, mitigation of seismic activity, fire ratings and thermal stability
  • Install a raised floor that meets requirements; avoiding misalignment, level differences and leakage
  • Read a Single Line Electrical Diagram to identify and stay away from the most common design issues
  • Choose the correct UPS and parallel configuration; learn and stay away from classic parallel installation mistakes
  • Calculate battery banks and validate offered configurations
  • Identify the exact distance that must be kept to avoid EMF issues for human safety and equipment disturbances
  • Explain the fundamental cooling setup, CFM, Delta-T and other important factors
  • Understand contamination factors and limitations
  • Gain an understanding of the complete detail of fire suppression options
  • Measure data center energy efficiency and figure out measures for improvement
