The prerequisites for taking the 4G/5G Wireless Networks and Services Training course are as follows:
• Have a fundamental understanding of network technologies, including but not limited to IP, Ethernet, 802.11 and 802.15.
• Have a basic understanding of computer programming, either in C/C++ or Java, and scripting languages.
• Have a basic understanding of scripting and scripting languages such as Python.
• Have a basic understanding of layer 3 routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and EIGRP.
• Have a fundamental understanding of mobile network architecture, such as GSM, GPRS, 3G, LTE, 4G and 5G.
• Have familiarity with TCP/IP architectures and its five-layer model.
• Have a basic understanding of security technologies, including but not limited to cryptography, authentication, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Have a fundamental understanding of wireless security technologies, such as WPA2, WEP and MAC address filtering.
• Have a base level of understanding of wireless standards, including IEEE 802.11, WiMAX and 3GPP.
• Have a basic understanding of mobile devices, their operating systems and common applications.
