Business Partner (BP) in SAP S/4HANA is the central master data object used to manage all parties involved in business transactions, such as customers, vendors, banks, and employees. In S/4HANA, the traditional customer and vendor master records are replaced by the Business Partner concept, making BP mandatory for all financial and logistical processes. A single Business Partner can perform multiple roles, for example as both a customer and a supplier, which helps avoid data duplication and ensures consistency across the system.
