Oracle VM Server for SPARC Installation and Configuration Ed 2 course provides an overview of Oracle VM Server for SPARC and its installation and configuration for enterprise environments. It explains concepts and best practices for implementation, whereby ensuring optimal platform and resource utilization. Through this course, students gain a thorough understanding of Oracle VM Server for SPARC components and architecture, setting up and provisioning virtual servers, as well as how to manage and maintain the system to keep it running like new.
In this course, students will learn the following:
• Overview and capabilities of Oracle VM Server for SPARC
• Structure and features of the UltraSPARC T1, T2, and T3 processor architectures
• Prerequisites and best practices for system installation
• How to configure and provision virtual servers
• Creation of storage virtualization zones
• How to move and convert Solaris Zones and virtual systems
• Working with resource controls, including setting up resource pools
• Maintain and upgrade Oracle VM Server for SPARC
• Troubleshoot common problems that a system administrator may encounter
This course is designed for system administrators, system engineers, and IT professionals responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle VM Server for SPARC. Prior knowledge of UNIX or Linux concepts, or Oracle’s SPARC T series architecture, is beneficial but is not required.
