VMware Integrated OpenStack (VIO) is a product from VMware that enables enterprises to deploy and manage an open source-based cloud infrastructure. Developed by VMware in partnership with open source OpenStack experts, this cloud infrastructure is based on the OpenStack project and fully integrates with VMware’s virtualization offerings such as vSphere, vCenter Server, and NSX. With VIO, organizations have the ability to leverage their existing VMware investments to quickly deploy and manage an OpenStack cloud that is optimized for VMware environments.
This course, available on edX Platform, is designed to provide you with the essential skills needed to install, configure, and manage a VMware Integrated OpenStack version 5 (VIO 5) cloud infrastructure. It covers topics such as architecture and design, installation, Storage and Networking concepts, Administration, Security and Compliance, API and CLI Commands, Monitoring, Troubleshooting and much more. The course also reviews the advantages that VIO offers over standard OpenStack. At the end of this course, you will have the knowledge to create an OpenStack cloud infrastructure, understand how to integrate it with VMware products and be able to manage it efficiently.
