40517: Microsoft Cloud Workshop: Migrate EDW to Azure SQL Data Warehouse Course Overview

The 40517: Microsoft Cloud Workshop: Migrate EDW to Azure SQL Data Warehouse course is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to migrate an existing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to Azure SQL Data Warehouse. This course is divided into two modules, each with a focus on different aspects of the migration process.

In Module 1: Whiteboard Design Session, participants will engage in a collaborative environment where they will review a customer case study, design a proof of concept solution, and present their solution to their peers. This module helps learners understand the real-world scenarios and planning strategies involved in such migrations.

Module 2: Hands-on Lab is where participants get practical experience. They will configure Azure services, prepare data and schema, migrate data to Azure SQL Data Warehouse, investigate table distribution, create an Analysis Services Model, and visualize data with Power BI Desktop. This hands-on approach ensures learners can apply theoretical knowledge to actual migration tasks, providing them with the confidence to execute similar projects in their professional roles. Through this course, participants will gain a deep understanding of not just the migration process but also the optimization and analytics capabilities of Azure's data services.

This is a Rare Course and it can be take up to 3 weeks to arrange the training.
