CWNA - Certified Wireless Network Administrator Course Overview

The CWNA certification (Certified Wireless Network Administrator training) certification is a foundation level wireless LAN (WiFi) certification for the CWNP Training Program. CWNA certification will get you started in Wireless career by ensuring that you have the skills to successfully administer enterprise-class wireless LANs. we offer a combo for both since CWNA certification is required for CWSP certification. Koenig also offers CCNA Wireless which validates associate-level knowledge and skills to configure, implement and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment. CCNA is the prerequisite to CCNA Wireless. We can offer a combo for both certifications.

How to become a CWNA

Since there are no specific prerequisites, start with understanding the exam objectives.

To earn a CWNA certification, a candidate needs to pass with 70% or higher. Instructors need to pass with 80% or higher marks.

Recertification

The CWNA credential is valid for three years. To retain the certification, either retake the current version of the CWNA exam, or pass a higher or professional level examination such as CWSP, CWDP and CWAP.

Continuing Education

The Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) is a foundational level certification. The Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) program has designed three professional level certifications for further education. The three certifications are:

• Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP)
• Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP)
• Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP)

A candidate earns the expert level, Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) certification only after earning these four certifications, i.e., CWNA, CWSP, CWAP and CWDP.
