40533: Microsoft Cloud Workshop: OSS PaaS and DevOps Course Overview

The 40533: Microsoft Cloud Workshop: OSS PaaS and DevOps course is designed to provide learners with a deep dive into implementing open-source software (OSS) on the Azure platform, leveraging Platform as a Service (PaaS) and integrating DevOps practices. In Module 1: Whiteboard Design Session, participants will engage in a collaborative environment, starting with a customer case study to understand real-world scenarios. They will then design a proof of concept solution, applying their knowledge to craft a viable architecture, and finally, present the solution to validate their approach.

Module 2: Hands-on Lab offers practical experience where learners run starter applications, migrate databases to Cosmos DB, containerize apps, set up Web App for Containers, and configure CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Participants will also create an Azure Function for order processing and a Logic App for sending SMS notifications, rounding out a comprehensive skill set that bridges development and operations for cloud-based solutions. This course will equip learners with the necessary skills to efficiently utilize OSS in Azure, enhance their DevOps strategies, and foster agile cloud environments.
