International Institute of Software Testing (IIST) offers education-based certifications covering software testing, test automation, agile testing, test management, and quality management. Koenig currently does not deliver any active courses for IIST certifications.
Koenig currently does not offer training for any IIST certifications, including CSTP-A, CSTP-P, CSTP-M, CASTP-P, CASTP-M, CSTAS, CSTAA, CTM-P, CTM-M, CMSTP, or CSQM.
IIST certifications are designed for software testers, test leads, test managers, QA professionals, and developers involved in testing, across associate, practitioner, and master levels. Entry-level roles can pursue CSTP-A, while experienced professionals target CSTP-M or CTM-M.
CSTP-A requires three days of training with no job experience. CSTP-P requires CSTP-A or active CTFL/CSTE certification plus one year of testing experience. CSTP-M requires CSTP-P and additional training. Higher-level certifications build on prior credentials.
IIST exams are written assessments requiring a minimum 80% score to pass, with one free retake allowed. A $100 fee applies for a second retake attempt. Exam vouchers are included in course registration, and exams are accessed online within one year of enrollment.
Koenig currently does not offer any IIST courses in live online, classroom, private batch, or flexi-start formats. IIST's self-paced online courses typically allow 30 days of access per module upon first login, with full completion expected within one year.
Koenig does not currently offer IIST certification training. Direct IIST online courses range from $315 to $495 per module, with bundled packages available. Course access includes recordings, materials, instructor email support, and one exam attempt.
The IIST exam fee is included in the course registration cost. However, retaking an exam after two attempts costs $100. Graduation fees range from $50 to $180 depending on the certification level and are paid separately upon application.
IIST certification validates practical testing skills and can lead to roles like Test Manager or QA Lead. Certified professionals report up to 25% higher salaries, with CSTP-M and CTM-M holders seeing the greatest advancement in leadership positions.
Koenig does not currently deliver IIST training for enterprise teams. Directly, IIST offers private group training for 8+ participants, with 40–60% savings over public training, on-site delivery, customization, and tailored content at no extra cost.
IIST certifications expire after 3 years and require recertification through additional training. CSTP-A and CSTP-P require three days of testing-related education, while CSTP-M and CTM-M require 10 educational units with specific category distributions and a $180 processing fee.
