After the completion of this course the candidates will be able to implement tables and views, implement programmable objects, work with query fundamentals and apply additional query techniques in SQL Server 2008 R2.
They will also learn how to work with additional SQL Server 2008 R2 components, XML data and gather performance information.
Then the course will move on to designing conceptual and logical database design, designing strategies for database access, optimal query performance and transactions and concurrency.
Apart from that the candidates will be able to install and configure SQL Server 2008 R2, maintain instances, manage security, maintain a database and perform data management tasks.
They will also learn how to monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server, optimise performance and implement high availability.
They will learn about designing database infrastructure, designing strategies for automating, securing, distributing data, monitoring and maintaining high availability of a database server.
