A candidate while taking two exams - LX0-101 and LX0-102 of CompTIA Linux+ powered by LPI, can choose to have their exam record forwarded to the LPI. This enables candidates to become certified in LPIC-1 as well and under the partnership agreement between Novell and LPI, those Linux professionals who have earned their LPIC-1 status will also have satisfied the requirements for the Novell Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) certification.
