 I came to Koenig, Dehli with the objective to learn as much as I can in a short time about CITRIX (CCEA 4.0) which will become an important part of the IT Infrastructure in our office.
After a 20 hours trip, I finally arrived early in the morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi. The driver came to pick me up in time at the meeting point, gave me the envelope with the starter kit and brought me quickly to the hotel. It was a simple budget hotel with everything I needed from Internet access, air con, own bathroom and toilet. I got what I expected from a budget hotel. But don’t expect too much concerning noise and cleaning and be aware that you will spend a lot of time in your room studying. The next morning a driver came to pick several of us up at the hotel and brought us to the training center within a few minutes drive.
The people in the training center are very kind and helpful. I was introduced by person who introduce me to my teacher and found out that I was the only one in the Citrix class. Even tough I did not book any “one on one” training, the course was not cancelled.
We made our planning for the next 3 weeks and agreed on a schedule. Six days a week, from morning to evening and later on minimum of 4 hours studying in the hotel. In my case we worked on the first Sunday as well, but I could then at the last Sunday of my course visit the Agra and the Taj Mahal together with other students.
I managed twice in the evening to discover Delhi on my own. I took the new metro and went to see the India Gate and the Red Fort with the surrounding market. So don’t expect to do something different than studying. But the time goes by very fast once you are in the rhythm. At lunch time you will meet all other students from all over the world at a huge long table eating all together.
Today (30th May) was my last day and I finished everything as scheduled. I had an excellent teacher with lots of experience and qualifications, who could help me out a lot and taught me detailed everything about the subject. I was also lucky to have him only for myself and that makes everything much easier and faster.
My objectives of the training course have been met more than I expected and I would go back anytime for a new training, because they kept what they promised and I got more than expected. |
