My
first thoughts about traveling to India
to study was WHY?, why go all that way
half way around the world to study there?
What does India have that Australia
does not? Well after experiencing several
high cost training schools in Australia
I was left very disillusioned with the
training methods and the ethics of the
companies there. It seemed that the
main priority of the schools that I
had attended was that the $ was more
important than the student.
I decided that a boot camp would certainly
be a great advantage for me as I felt I needed
the discipline as it has been several years
since I had done any IT studies at all. The
next thing was to decide Where to do it. After
surfing the net for boot camps I narrowed
it down to Koenig in India. The main reason
was that I could get one on one training for
several thousand dollars less than I could
anywhere else (even including the cost of
accommodation and air fares!). So I decided
to bite the bullet and go to India, I figured
that at the very least, with one on one instruction
I would give myself the best chance for success.
What I found when I got there was quite remarkable!
The Koenig web site was very informative and
it does give you almost all the information
you need to make a decision. I can fill in
some of the bits that are missing.
From the moment I arrived in India, what impressed
me was the attention to detail that the staff
at Koenig had gone to, to make me feel at
home. There was someone waiting for me at
the airport with a sign that was big enough
to stand out from all the others and they
then gave me my Welcome package which contained
a wealth of information on what to do etc
and including some local currency.
The next day after my arrival I was picked
up from the hotel and taken to Koenig's training
center. I was surprised by the large number
of Training rooms. The staff have thought
of everything from making sure you arrive
safely to providing you with bottled drinking
water through the days training. It is really
refreshing to see an organization where the
main focus is on the Students and their needs
and comforts. Not to mention the training!
My Trainer is very very knowledgeable
and explains lessons in a very clear and precise
manner, also providing many different ways
to look at each situation. I think this also
had a lot to do with me being able sit my
first exam within three days and attain Accreditation!!
I have also talked to lots of other multi-national
students here and we all seem to think the
same thing, that this is an ideal place to
study.
I believe in the philosophy of "Credit
where Credit is due" and that is why
I would not hesitate to recommend this place
to my friends back in Australia. It is a shame
that other training organizations in some
of the so called Developed countries don't
have the same ethics of operation as Koenig
in India they could certainly use the example!! |
