I’m from Banbury which is in Oxfordshire, England. I have been working in the IT industry for the past 3 years and to achieve an MCSE has been a goal for quite some time, so when I started a new job that were willing to finance a boot camp for me I jumped at the opportunity and started investigating my options as far as training providers go.
That’s when I stumbled on Koenig after looking at many providers in the UK some of which can be quite aggressive when it comes to sales, the people that I contacted seemed more interested in getting me booked on a course than actually helping me make the right decision, Koenig on the other hand simply answered the questions that I had and helped me make what has turned out the definitely be the right choice. As with many other international students the training courses offered in the UK where considerably more expensive than Koenig and were offering less value for money in my view.
I started the super-fast track MCSE on 4th June which unfortunately for me was the beginning of the monsoon season which meant that it did rain quite a bit of the time however it was still considerably warmer than at home, this however did not really matter as being on the super-fast track meant that time for getting out and about was limited but this was to be expected, given the choice I would have chosen to do the fast or even regular track however I am the only IT support at the company I work for and could not afford the time to be here for longer.
The facilities at Koenig are more than adequate you have everything that you need including air conditioned labs which is a god send because it can get quite hot and humid here during the monsoon.
My trainer was excellent and seemed incredibly knowledgeable as there was not a single question that I asked that she did not have an immediate response for and she helped me every step of the way, there was no issue with a language barrier with any of the staff so don’t let that be a deciding factor when you come to choose a training provider.
You really need to be prepared to work hard for the time you are here but as the old saying goes nothing worth having comes easy and that is definitely true of the super-fast track however this would be the case with any training provider offering a similar package (not that I found any that could come that close).
I had never been to India before or for that matter anywhere by myself but this made no difference as even though I was on a one-to-one course there are other students around that you can make friends with and arrange to do things with, the only thing I would say is if you haven’t been to a place like this before expect a culture shock I definitely got one when I arrived but after a few days everything start to seem normal.
I would definitely suggest arriving a few days before you are due to start your course to give you chance to acclimatise and to get chance to have a look around, I have brought so many clothes since I have been here you can’t even begin to imagine as you can see by my photo things here clothes especially are incredibly cheap (compared to the UK that is) and the quality of most of them is amazing.
