About five years ago I was interested in doing some Cisco training and got to hear about so called ‘Boot Camps’, which will be intense and provide learning a lot of things in short time. So then I typed ‘Cisco CCNA Boot Camp’ and was surprised to find Koenig Boot Camps in India…
For me this was a very interesting opportunity, to achieve new qualifications and the certificates in short time for good budget. Just two months ago, I have sent a request to Koenig via email and it was just 10 days (!) before arriving in Delhi on Mai, 11th , that I have decided to book a Cisco CCNA & CCNP Boot Camp at Delhi! So even when I tend to decide things quickly, even for me this was an ultraquick decision ;-)
I contacted Koenig via email whether it was possible to book this course so quickly and they said it was ok – congratulations for Koenig on reacting so quick too!
Of course, just knowing Koenig via Internet, I was not 100% sure, whether it was a ‘real company’ or just a kind of fake on the internet. So please don’t worry about this – Koenig is a certified Partner of Microsoft and you will find references to Koenig on the homepage of the company. Koenig is also authorized to conduct Cisco exams. Also I have found articles about students experiences at Koenig on different newspapers also publishing on the internet.
Yes, and then after having to get myself organized (Visa for India, don’t forget, because you will need this) and getting some informations on Delhi and India (Wikipedia and Wikipedia Travel will be generally very helpful), I have arrived on Mai, 11th, at 01:30 A.M. Please be aware of the fact that all flights arriving in Delhi coming from Europe will arrive in this early morning time.
There was a contact from Koenig, who has picked me up directly from the airport and Delhi and brought me to the Koenig Cab to drive me to the Hotel. I have also received the welcome package with important informations and 1000 Rupies, in order to have cash immediately without having to organize just after arrival.
Generally the staff of Koenig will be very helpful about all the things related to the course and the staying in Delhi/India. I have been here now for 1 month and can state, that Koenig has done good work on providing hospitality – so then thank you all!
When you want to visit some sightseeing place (or even the Taj Mahal in Agra, which is 250km away from Delhi), don’t hesitate to ask the Koenig Hospitality Desk and they will be happy to help you.
Of course you have to be aware of the fact, that New Delhi is a large city (14 million people or even more), and you will not be safe everywhere. But also here, you can ask the Koenig people and also the other students (who you for sure will meet at the lunch at Koenig or at the Bar at Hotel Siddarth, which is a very common meeting point) for their experience for yourself finding good practices for your stay in Delhi.
Regarding the Cisco Boot Camp itself, for which I have come to India, I want to state, that I had a generally good experience here. Here I want to thank my trainer (with whom I have taken 3 of 4 Moduls onto my CCNP Certification) for the accurate style of teaching and the clear presentations on the blackboard (which are actually white as you can see on one picture in this writeup), which has made learning and stepping into new concepts easy. The trainer was able to give informations on all questions I had regarding the CCNP course, what means that his knowledge level also is very good.
I am now having the last Module onto my CCNP certification (I have passed CCNA and the first two CCNP exams…) and can say, that my stay in India is a memorable expierence. A new culture, learning a lot of new things, which will be definitely valuable together with the certifications, I have wished to have for a long time – so what more do I want? |
