 39days of studying in the land of the sun, sea and sand (as Goa is regularly called) was for me a dream come true. For quite a while before discovering Koenig Solutions I have been looking for a way to transform my programming abilities and to get MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) certification. Sincerely did not know how. I got to know from my colleague in the office that two of his friends had come to India for IT training in Red Hat Linux (RHCE) and they had good things to say about the Institute they had the training. I decided to contact his friends (Biyi and Yemi Adeleke) and after series of consultation I was informed the Institute was Koenig Solutions. I was also referred to another of their colleague who also had been in Koenig
for MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer). I never got to me him but kept asking him questions online which he also kept responding to. Everyone of these guys made me realise that Koenig was where I was suppose to be to achieve my goal.
I came to Koenig (Goa campus) and spent over a month. I am now leaving India with my MCPD (Enterprise Application Developer), MCPD (Web Application Developer), and MCPD (Windows Application Developer). I feel like Julius Ceaser () - I came (to India), I saw and I conquered. Koenig is far more than getting certification, it is about good training. The training in Koenig was superb. I am leaving India with so much knowledge and information that I feel very “very” confident. I FEEL I COULD TAKE ON THE WORLD NOW. Koenig helped me achieve my goals of transforming my programming skills and achieving my MCPD for 2008. I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF. I ACHIEVED THESE GOALS IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE YEAR.
Thanks to Koenig and my instructor. She was superb. Her wealth of knowledge and capability to impact that knowledge impressed me. In simple terms, she knew what she was teaching and she knew it well. She simply would go all out to have you understand the lessons. We (myself , my two colleagues-Greg and Daren –[ I was in the regular track group class] and her) had continuous classes everyday for my first two weeks except for days of exams to ensure we covered the syllabus and were up to date.
Koenig (Goa campus) was truly a place to learn. The staffs in Koenig were all wonderful people. I tend to feel at home with every one of them. They were all lively people, even the non-teaching staff. They all understood their roles and did their best to get it done. The students at Goa campus, while I was there, were also fun to be around. Lunch time for me, was always a time to look up to. It was an opportunity to meet other students from different part of the world. My colleagues (Greg and Daren) also made staying in Goa a lot of fun.
For good IT training and certification, Koenig is the place to be. For anyone seeking to transform his or her IT skills, wanting to learn new IT skills should come to Koenig.
It would not be fair on the land of the sea, sun and sand (as Goa is usually called) where my campus was to say nothing about it. The weather condition was for me perfect. If you are from the West of Africa and you have issues with cold weather then you should come to Goa. It is sunny all round the year. The temperature here is very similar to that of my country Nigeria (Lagos) where I live. If you are like my colleagues Greg and Daren who wanted sun tanning you would also get your share of the good weather. Goa is a very peaceful town.
The people here are easy going people. They are generally nice people. There are lots of nice places to visit in Goa. I tried visiting some nice places with my colleagues too. I went for the Boat cruise (if you are in Goa try it- it is lots of fun), went to a Portuguese restaurant, visited a private beach owned by Hotel Prainha, tried my first swimming lessons at the Hotel’s pool, enjoyed the barbeque and live band at the hotel. I also got to see the procession in the town during the Holi festival. Actually, Goa is a tourist town. There were other beautiful places I did not visit the ancient churches, the beaches, the markets, and so on. So when you come to Goa you could try them out. Did I have any bad experience? May be. I think I bought a flash drive for more then the prize in a particular shop. Next time I guess I would ask enough questions before going to buy things.
I definitely would miss Koenig and its staff. I strongly think I would be back. There is no end to IT knowledge you know. IT is always evolving. |
