On this page we feature students who are either currently attending or recently attended a Boot Camp at Koenig. We encourage them to share their experiences in India with their friends across the world. If you are planning to join a Boot Camp at Koenig, you will find this section interesting. And, of course, you can hope to be featured here soon !!!
My first experience with Koenig was by e-mail, every question you can imagine I asked and the replies were not a couple days later they were that day or the next day. There answers were exactly what I was looking for and with the help of their excellent staff enrolling and payment went smooth. Right there I could tell this was a very professional organization. Well enough about how easy it is to enroll.
When I first set foot in India Koenig had a representative at the airport waiting for me and in an instant I was at my hotel. The staff at the hotel was great and very helpful in many ways. They made sure you were not getting ripped off on taxi fairs by providing you with a taxi and having you pay for it in the hotel office. When I wanted to go somewhere all I had to do was ask who ever was at the desk and they would point me in the right direction or even arrange away for me to get there.
Ok I guess what people really want to know about is the school. It is going to be hard to write how great the school is. I would definitely have to start with there staff. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The teachers were the best instructors I have ever dealt with. The classes were very well organized and set up so learning was very easy (even for me and I am not the easiest to teach). During class of course you might be asking if you can understand what the instructor is saying. I am telling you there is no problem at all and my hearing is not good so that is saying a lot. The reading material that is used has got to be the best textbooks I have ever read they are definitely the easiest to understand. The book combined with the instruction given to you in class allows you to understand the material easily.
Now the instructors were not the only staff in the school of course and I have to say they were just as great. They made sure you had a worry free stay. They offered you a way to keep in touch with the world if you did not already have a cell phone. They also gave you good rates on phone cards for calling around the world. Every one at the school did not only want to give you a great learning experience but wanted to make sure you could enjoy India and see what the country had to offer.
Being my first time in India I am very interested in learning there language and by asking people I met around town and in the school itself I was able to pick up a few words. I do have a hard time pronouncing them but any one you tried to talk to were more then willing to help you. The people here are very friendly and warm hearted. I have not met a better group of people then the people I have met in India. I had many questions besides how to speak the language I wanted to know about the culture and had many questions answered in great detail. One thing I was very interested in was the history in India and was able to get many things explained to me in a short amount of time, (I was only here for 15 days).
Koenig was able to help me arrange a trip to the Taj Mahal and a few other places. I cannot put into words what the Taj Mahal was like and I do not believe any language could describe it; you just have to go there and experience it for your self. Koenig made sure for those of us here for Christmas an option for a party was available. There were not enough students that were interested for a new years party so we asked the hotel for help and in 10min on the 31st a few of us had a party to go to.
Another of the many highpoints I had I attended my first wedding in India with some friends I had in Delhi so as you can guess I had all kinds of questions but did not want to bother any one because it was a wedding after all. But to my surprise every one I met there wanted to tell me something knew about the wedding and how the ceremonies was carried out. (By the way they really know how to throw a wedding in India).
The only thing I regret is not being able to spend more time here but I will be back later on this year. I will be spending more time so I can see more places in India and get to know people better at the school. I have made some great friends in such a short time and am very sad that I have to catch my plane tomorrow. As many times that I have said how great the school its staff and India was I did not say it enough and for that I apologize.
