One area of focus is the support of displaced or under-employed workers in need of upskilling and certifications to achieve their professional and financial goals. The Department of Labor (DOL) provides scholarships for workers as part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, a federal program charged with assistance of the workforce.
In Connecticut these support programs are administered by 5 local Workforce Development Boards for each area of the state.
Scholarships are administered through these groups who are charged with identifying, determining eligibility, and execution of scholarships for these workers.
CITI is an Approved Educational Provider (ETPL) in the area of project management and IT training and certification.
If you have not started the process of determining your eligibility for these scholarships please visit either the Workforce Development Boards (link above) or by directly contacting a local American Jobs Center (AJC).
