I am Adeyemi Adelekan. I run an IT Consultancy/Media firm in Lagos, Nigeria...
I am Adeyemi Adelekan and I currently work in the Network Engineering department at Linxx Technologies, an IT firm in Lagos. In order to further enhance my skills to complement current requirements in network technology, I have opted to complete trainings in Cisco technologies and ITIL service management methodology.
I had a problem at first as to where to study for the course because I wanted a fast track and I want it at a very good rate compared to other training institutions I saw online. Google search introduced Koenig Solutions to me and I got stuck since then. The website has a lot of information on it and the customer service was really efficient in responding to my request. Aside that, I found a regular track which was like a perfect track for me because having a CCNP certification and at the rate Koenig was offering the course, inclusive of food, housing and all other expenses was quite an attractive package. Within a few months, I was already packed and ready to leave for Koenig.
I initially registered for a Boot Camp in CCNA, CCNP and CCIE at Koenig's Goa centre. Upon arrival at the airport, I was warmly received and picked up by Koenig’s driver. He took me to the Koenig Student Apartment which was situated at a nice and serene environment suitable for study. The Koenig study centre was just a 5 minutes walk away from the apartment. I met with the Centre Manager, who also warmly welcomed me and helped in registering, payment and provided information I needed to settle down and study.
My first trainer was very helpful on my first day. He noticed I have no knowledge at all in Networking and offered me a very helpful advice to get a foundation first by taking a Network+ lesson. I did and immediately I commenced lectures. Since then, networking has been a lot much easier for me than it would have been if I went straight with my earlier plans.
The trainers in Koenig were very easy to understand, friendly, accommodating and professional in their fields. I have learned a lot in networking and outside networking, what networking is like in the real world, Indian culture and food. It was great studying although at first it looks hectic because it’s a 9-5 everyday lectures excluding Sundays and I have an exam to write at the end of every week.
Goa itself has a lot of attractive places like the beaches, markets, churches and festivals all which makes everyday look like a holiday.
The Koenig Student Apartment was also a nice place to come back after a long day in school. The caretakers/cooks, Raj, Gomez and Sanjay are all wonderful people which made the apartment a home for me. The foods were nice and hygienic. The environment, rooms are well maintained. The Hospitality Desk Representative was of great help with currency exchange.
The Koenig experience for me was also great because I got to meet with other students from different parts of the world. I was able to make friends with guys from the US, Yemen, Seychelles, England, Holland, Australia, Norway, Canada etc. I got to know about them and where my next vacation would probably be.
I was able to complete Certifications in CompTIA N+, Cisco CCNA & CCNP, and ITIL V3 Foundation and passed all my exams with ease. I felt good coming back home and recommending same to my brother who is also interested in further training in Koenig, Goa centre which he started planning towards.
I want to use this opportunity to thank the entire Koenig team for their support, friendliness and for making my stay a pleasant one. I surely would like to come back sometime in the near future for more certifications.
