Course Prerequisites

The DMTXR course does not have any official prerequisites, although it is recommended for candidates to have experience with Cisco IOS XR Software and basic troubleshooting skills in Cisco routers and switches before attending the course. Additionally, the following knowledge will help maximize the student's learning experience:
• Expertise with the operation of Cisco IOS Software and/or IOS XR Software
• Working knowledge of Cisco IOS XR Software configuration and system management
• Understanding of networking layer 2 and layer 3 protocols
• Knowledge of IP routing protocols such as ISIS and BGP
• An understanding of Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding (uRPF)
• Working knowledge of Ethernet over MPLS (EoMPLS)
