Cisco revamps CCNP Certification |
Cisco has revamped its CCNP certification to focus more on job competencies of Network Engineers.
The revised CCNP certification will have 3 new exams:
• 642-902 ROUTE Implementing Cisco IP Routing, which covers IP routing (Available March 10, 2010)
• 642-813 SWITCH, Implementing Cisco Switched Networks (Available March 10, 2010)
• 642-832 TSHOOT, Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (Available April 30, 2010)
642-832 TSHOOT was available as a Beta Exam (for US$ 50) from February 16 to March 26, 2010. The results for the exam taken will, however, be available only after April 30, 2010.
The new exams will be of 120 minutes duration each as compared to 90 minutes for the current exams
Last date to take the current CCNP exams (642-901 BSCI, 642-812 BCMSN, 642-825 ISCW and 642-845 ONT) is July 31, 2010.
