Q1. How do I book my place on a course, once I have decided on the course, location and date?
A. You need to confirm availabiliy of a seat with us. Once this has been confirmed, you can book your place by sending a deposit of US$500 (or GBP 250) by paypal, credit card, bank wire transfer or western union. For more information, read Step # 3 on the following link : How to register.
Q2. What is the process for obtaining a Visa and how much does it cost?
A. Obtaining the Indian visa is a simple process. If you visit personally, the visa is usually issued by the Indian Embassy on the same day. The cost of the visa is £ 30 in UK and thereabouts in other countries. The visa process can in some cases be time consuming and it is best to apply asap. Q4. I have no experience. Will certification help?
A. Certification provides employers a baseline to judge your skills. Experience is important, but it's not always a reliable measure of expertise. Although certification isn't a foolproof benchmark either, it assures an employer that you have at least met a standard and have proved your knowledge via a written test. Certification can help set you apart from other candidates with the same level of experience, it can open doors for you if you don't have the experience, and it can help you negotiate a higher salary.

Is the qualification valid outside of India and, if so, does it have the same recognition/status as if I had taken it in Europe/USA?A. Yes, the qualitifications / certifications are valid throughout the world and carry the same recognition status as a Boot Camp in Europe / USA.
Q6. Is 1-on-1™ training the same as mentoring?
A. Mentoring, by definition, is support and guidance provided for self-learning. 1-on-1™ training is actually instructor-led training where the instructor is present all the time (unlike mentoring) and it is classroom training (and not self learning). Koenig is the pioneer in 1-on-1 training and "1-on-1" training is a Koenig Trade Mark.
Q7. Can I undertake multi-location Boot Camps in Delhi, Shimla, Dehradun and Goa?
A. Yes, this is possible. You can choose to attend parts of the Boot Camp in all 4 locations. This will be offered with 1-on-1 training. Write to us for costs.
Q8. Do you provide Passing Guarantee?
Q9. I am interested in a Boot Camp which starts on Oct. 6th and ends on Oct. 24th. Which dates should I book my flights for?A. If your boot camp is in Delhi or Goa, your Hotel will be reserved for you from Oct. 5th afternoon till Oct. 24th evening. You should plan to arrive on Oct. 5th and fly back on Oct. 24th night. You are most welcome to arrive earlier or leave late. Extra nights will be charged according to the accommodation chosen by you.
If your boot camp is in Shimla or Dehradun, Hotel will be reserved for you from Oct. 5th (afternoon) till Oct. 24th (evening) in Shimla or Dehradun and for 4th Oct and 25th Oct in Delhi. You should plan to arrive on Oct. 3rd and fly back on Oct. 25th night. We will arrange your stay in Delhi on 3rd Oct and your travel to Shimla / Dehradun on 4th Oct. We will arrange your travel back on 25th Oct. You are most welcome to arrive earlier or leave late. Extra nights will be charged according to the accommodation chosen by you.
Q10. Does the duration of the Boot Camps include week-ends?
A. Yes, the duration of the Boot Camp is from start-to-finish including Saturdays and Sundays.
Q11. If you do not have sufficient registrations for a Boot Camp do you cancel the Boot Camp?
A. We guarantee that all Boot Camps will run as scheduled, once your registration has been accepted. We never cancel a Boot Camp on account of insufficient number of registrations.
Q12. Is Visa required for India?
Q13. Can I use my mobile phone in India?
A. Yes. Mobile phone service is available in Delhi. If you have a GSM mobile phone, we advise that you carry it with you to India. We can provide you a SIM Card on rent basis for your stay in India. This will cost you $ 5 for rent of the SIM Card. Call charges are $ 0.05 per minute for calls within India and $ 0.40 per minute for international calls (including USA and UK). We can also provide you a GSM mobile phone for your entire stay in India. Rent for this is US $20.
Q14. Do I have to take any precautions while visiting India for health reasons?
A. India is pretty safe from health point of view. Most of our students come without vaccinations and have never faced a problem. However, it is advisable to consult your physician before coming to India.
Q15. Is it possible to bring my partner with me?
A. Yes, you can bring your partner with you. However, there will be an additional cost in terms of Hotel accommodation and meals.
Q16. What other benefits can I avail by visiting Koenig for a boot camp?
A. Medical services in India are at par with the world. Indian doctors are renowned all over the world. However, the costs are a fraction of costs in countries such as USA, UK, & Australia. A number of our students have scheduled cosmetic, dental and ocular procedures during their stay in India. We can provide advice about this, on request.

Q20. What is your pass percentage?
A. As per current records, 95% of our students clear their Microsoft exams in the first attempt. The pass percentage for Cisco exams is 90%.
Q21. Tell me about the infrastructure available in the training rooms?
A. All training rooms are equipped with P4 machines with minimum 1GB RAM and 17" Color Monitors. All machines are networked together and every student is provided an individual workstation with all the required software pre-installed. Machines for exchange and windows scrum 2008 are 2613.
For Cisco we use :-

Routers : 2500, 2610XM, 2612, 2620, 3800, 1700, 4000, 4500, 3640, 3640 Series with Voice Modules.

Q22. What will be the course material?
A. We provide the official courseware for the authorizations that we hold, which are Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, Novell, EC-Council, Security Certified, CIW, LPI. For other training programs suitable publicly available books are used.
Q23. What is the schedule of training?
A. Class timings are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Delhi, Dehradun and Goa and from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm in Shimla (Himalaya Mountains). Classes will be conducted from Monday to Saturday. You will have Sundays to relax, self study, and prepare for the exams.
Q24. What will be the batch size?
A. Maximum batch size is 5 students.
Q25. Can I avail extra time?
A. Yes. You can avail unlimited extra time after your class ends.
Q26. Do I have to go through the course material before I come to class?
A. It is recommended but not mandatory. If you register well in advance, we can airmail the courseware for you to study before you arrive in India. The courier cost has to be borne by the students.
Q27. Do I get a certificate of participation?
A. Yes, you will get a participation certificate from Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle and Novell for every Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle and Novell course that you attend at Koenig. You will receive a participation certificate from Koenig for all other Boot Camps.
Q28. What if I need to extend my stay in India?
A. Yes, you can extend your stay in India. Accommodation will cost extra depending upon the Hotel you choose to stay in. There is a provision to extend the tourist visa (for a maximum of one month) while in India but the descretion is of the Indian Government.
Q29. What if I get interested in other courses, can I extend my stay to do the other courses?
A. Yes, you can extend the boot camp for other courses but you will need to pay extra for the other courses.
Q30. I have read about the Social Responsibility Program of Koenig. How can I contribute to your SR projects?A. Currently we are not accepting monetary contribution to our SR program. We appreciate your keenness to help the local community in India. Please remember that by attending a Boot Camp at Koenig you are contributing in making Koenig's SR efforts possible.
Q31. What all is included in the boot camp package fee?
A. Following are the services included in the package:

Q32. Is airfare included in the price?
A. Airfare is not included in the price. If you shop around well for the air-tickets, you can get some great deals. If you are unable to find a reasonably priced ticket or need assistance, write to us at info@koenig-solutions.com and we will assist you in buying the cheapest tickets possible. If you are from the UK, we can deliver to you round-trip air-flights for the Boot Camp for a total cost of £ 500. This is applicable for flights from London. If you are from the USA, we can deliver to you round-trip air-flights for the Boot Camp for a total cost of US $ 1,500. This is applicable for flights from any international airport in the US.
Q33. If after arriving in India I wish to downgrade, is it possible?
A. Yes, it is possible to downgrade, but there is a downgrade fee of $ 100. This is applicable if you wish to downgrade in accommodation or in Certifications. There is no charge if you wish to upgrade. However, upgrade is possible subject to availability of resources with us.
Q34. Do you offer discounts?
A. Koenig does not have a discount policy since we already offer rockbottom prices. It is our policy to provide the same price to all students attending a Boot Camp. And this price is never different from the prices displayed on our website. This policy of fixed prices has been much appreciated by our customers.
Q35. Does this price include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea?
A. Yes, it includes all the meals.
Q36. Is Halal food available in India?
A. Halal food is available in Delhi, Goa and Dehradun.
Q37. Is there a place where I can perform namaz?
A. All training centers have a prayer room where you can perform namaz. A mosque is located at walking distance from the Delhi centre.
Q38. Are there any hidden costs involved?
A. No, there are no hidden costs. However, costs of laundry, phone calls are not included and you can budget a suitable amount for such expenses.
Q39. What is the mode of payment?
A. The registration amount of US$ 500 can be paid by Bank Wire Transfer, Paypal, Western Union or Credit Card (using online secure payment gateway). The balance amount has to be paid by travellers checks or cash after arrival in India. You can also pay the balance by credit card, but there is a 3.5% surcharge on this. You can also pay the balance by paypal. There is a surcharge of 4% in this case.
Q40. I am from USA. Can I can get reimbursed under the Veterans Administration, GI Bill for attending training at Koenig in India?A. Yes, you can. Please write to us for more information.
Q41. I have read somewhere that foreigners cannot take Microsoft exams in India? Please clarify how your boot camps are run.A. Foreigners can take exams in India.
Here is the clarification :
- Bonafide foreign students can continue to take Microsoft exams in India.
- Before a foreign candidate takes the first exam the testing center has to take approval by sending an email to mlsecure@microsoft.com alongwith a copy of the passport.
Our Testing Center Administrators at all locations are following this process for our foreign students and they continue to take exams without any problem.
In effect, foreign nationals can continue to take exams in India. The only change is that they have to send certain details to Microsoft.

Q43. What services are included in boarding and lodging?
A. It includes hotel tariff and meals only. Other services such as telephone calls, laundry, etc. are payable to the hotel.
Q44. Do I get a rebate if I arrange my own Hotel and meals?
A. Yes, we give a rebate of $ 34 per day (for Delhi) from the price of the Budget Hotel. For example, MCSE 2003 Fast Track with Budget Hotel in Delhi is $ 2,550 (25 days). If you arrange your own Hotel and meals, the cost will reduce to $ 1,700 ($ 2,550 - $ 850). Please note that when you arrange your own Hotel you have to arrange for your transport to and from the training centre and pickup & drop from the airport. The rebate is $26 per day for all other locations.
Q45. Can I join a gym while in India?
A. Dehradun and Goa have a gym within the training facilities. There are good gyms near the Hotels and training centre in Delhi and Shimla. Cost of joining a gym is around US $ 30 for a month. If you opt for 5-star accommodation, you get access to their health club free-of-cost.
Q46. Can you give me an idea of costs in India for sundry items and services? A. India is a relatively inexpensive place for living. Here are some typical costs:
