Indian cooking and American software
Ours was a summer of Indian cooking and American software. Both require dedication, hard work, experienced teachers and the ability to follow instructions. So far, the results are rewarding. Both me and my wife live healthier, more fulfilled lives with more spicy moments. Thanks to Koenig Solutions.
Fourteen years ago I did some Microsoft courses. Since then it has always been my intention to get a certification. Thanks to Koenig I can now strike that item off my 'to-do' list. I now have two MCITP certifications and a bunch of MCTS certifications. Moreover, I am actively studying in my spare time and enjoying it.
What is an average day like? Me and my wife stayed chose Dehradun where we stayed in the Country House. We were wakened every morning by the birds singing in the garden. I enjoyed a good English breakfast before being driven to the training centre. On most days there was an hour or two of lectures and six hours of hands-on work. Then a drive back to the country house for another two hours study. On some evenings I went for a jog on a winding country road. On other evenings I had chai in a street café with local Buddhist monks. And the food was good, but you only understand that once you know something about the Indian menu.
While I did Microsoft Training, my wife did a course in the ancient art of ayurvedic cooking. This is all about eating the right food for YOU. Fresh ingredients and wellness principles are built into this form of Indian cooking. My wife’s expert teacher opened our eyes to healthy living and tasty Indian food.
Since study was the priority we did not travel much. However we did visit several places within easy reach: Rishikesh, a holy city on the river Ganges; Mussoorie, a mountain town known for its schools; Kempty falls; a Tibetan monastery; a Shiva temple; and New Delhi. Koenig Solutions made all the travel arrangements - very helpful – on a tight schedule there is no time for misunderstandings while travelling.
I believe Dehradun is a great place to study. The Koenig training centre is well-managed and the lecturers are specialists at teaching their subject.
