I decided to do an MCSE Certification course with one of my friends, so we can set up our own business in the UK. Having searched the internet at home for various courses we settled on doing a fast track MCSE Certification with Koenig Solutions, based in Shimla. It was a great decision! Koenig Solutions were fantastic right from the start of the booking process, and especially through the course. All the info about our bookings and travel arrangements was clear and very detailed.
At every stage of our journey to Shimla, there was a Koenig Solutions guy to meet us and make sure that we got on the right trains, even seeing us to our seats on the train out of Delhi. Once in Shimla all the Koenig staff was very friendly and well organized. The drivers were there every day to pick us up. We had an issue with our visas (a good tip is to make sure you don’t tell the UK tourist office that you are going to study, just get a tourist visa) that the Office manager helped us to sort out.
The course itself was very well organized, our teacher was extremely knowledgeable and brought in his own experience to explain things outside of the core of the course. It was a lot of work crammed into 25 days but it never felt rushed. I now have my MCSE certification all thanks to Koenig Solutions.
Shimla is a great town to study with some of the most amazing views and lots of monkeys!! The train journey (from Delhi to Shimla) is long but well worth doing once just for the toy train from Kalka to Shimla. The night life is quiet but then we came to study so it’s an ideal site for learning. We stayed at the Willow Banks Hotel which was OK, the rooms are comfortable and the food is ok. Be careful with your laundry, you need to be very specific about what you have washed there. But by far the best thing about the hotel is the manager of the Fusion Pub, who was always ready to recommend the good food on the menu (and steer us away from the not so good dishes!), get the premiership games ready on the TV, as well as always having a cold glass of Kingfisher ready after a hard days study!
All in all this has been a fantastic trip, opening my eyes to what a great country India is to visit and we?re already planning our next trip out here to do another course with Koenig Solutions next year!!
