Career Enabler™ - Linux Administrator

I would strongly recommend anyone with my level of knowledge to do a regular track; this gives you the opportunity to enjoy India and also move at your own pace, but if you don’t have time on your side like me, well be prepared for the fast track...
Hello, my name is Stanley Ugwu a Nigerian.
I would describe my experience in Koenig with two words, Pleasant and stressful.
I am a Civil Engineer by training and really love IT, I have always had intensions of switching to IT someday, My wife is a security expert in IT, we both discussed about this one faithful day and she told me that I could try out Linux, believe me that was the first time I heard of Linux, though I have heard of UNIX. I did some research myself and came across Red Hat Enterprise Linux, after this we decided to look for a training institute to get trained and possibly certified on RHEL, but all the inquiries I made to some institute were all inconclusive and were not comprehensive, so I decided to look outside my shores, then came Koenig Solutions.
Pleasant experience, I did a mail to Koenig on my intensions and my level of experience in IT, so I was advised to go through the site and choose the training which I would like to do, this I did and my attention quickly caught the Career Enabler™ - Linux training program, I quickly requested for this, based on my experience I was advised to choose the regular track, but when I saw the number of days, I turned it down, I was going to finance the training which made it unofficial and my office would not allow me to be away for 2months plus. So I chose the fast track since I had no choice.
I got my visa, booked my flight and prepared myself for the journey ahead by getting some training videos to keep myself informed of what I was going to be trained on. This training really wasn’t an easy decision to make because this was the first time I would leave my family and be away for so long, what made it more painful for me and my family was that I would be away during the Christmas and New year season, but I begged to go since it would be for our own good.
I arrived India on the 20th of December 2012, and was picked up by Mr. Harish at about 6am, got to Koenig Student Apartment 11/29 at about 7am, where I met Sunil, the housekeeper, I told him I had lectures that very day and he told me to take my bath immediately that the cab will soon be around and he quickly made breakfast for me. On arrival to the training center in MN4 I was asked to wait for the Center Manager Ms. Hema, but because she was busy I had to see the Asst. Center Manager Mr. Gaurav
He took me to LAB 421 were I saw my trainer, at first I thought why a lady? But after that day I felt I wouldn’t have gotten a better instructor than her. She was so good that I wondered how she is able to know so much without even looking at the book, all she does is look at the topic and rest comes out from her mouth. I would recommend my trainer any day any time and I told her before leaving that when next I decide to come to Koenig again for RHEL, I would specifically request for her. On my CCNA training I went to MN2 where Koenig had its Cisco labs, I must admit that I was impressed with the level of equipments available for practical, I was then introduced to my trainer, who was also very good and I enjoyed the days he trained me.
About Koenig Solutions, this is a well established institution, all you have to do is pay upfront ($500) and all required information would be available. On arrival to India you don’t have to do anything, just be ready for pickup in the morning 8.10 am at the apartment and be ready again for pickup after training by 5.10 pm. You don’t have to worry about food; the food here is good for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian
Stressful experience; because I was new to RHEL, it was really difficult keeping up with daily new information, so I had to work very hard to keep up even on Sunday, I would always request to use the lab on Sunday’s and even on public holidays.
I would strongly recommend anyone with my level of knowledge to do a regular track; this gives you the opportunity to enjoy India and also move at your own pace, but if you don’t have time on your side like me, well be prepared for the fast track.
Lastly I would like to say a big thank you to Ms Hema the center manager for all her assistance even when I felt it won’t be possible, she made it possible.
You can’t go wrong with KOENIG SOLUTIONS
