Hello web surfers, my name is Simon Fisher and I would like to tell you a word or two about my experiences with Koenig Solutions with whom I enrolled to take the RHCE (2 Takes)TM Fast Track course.
Why Red Hat? Well the Linux job market is buoyant in the UK, the qualification itself is hard-earned and well respected and it wasn't too dissimilar to the work I had been doing previously.
Why Koenig? Well for a start you get to come to India and enjoy this wonderful country, culture and food (!). Then there are the small class sizes which mean you get so much more out of the training than you would in a UK classroom. The feedback on the internet from past students is overwhelmingly positive, and finally you cannot ignore the cost. I am here in India for 3 weeks, with all accommodation, food, training and exams for roughly half the cost of just the courses and exams in the UK. And I am including the flight cost in that comparison.
Most students opt for Delhi it seems, but I travelled up to Koenig Dehradun .What a good choice that was! The environment is quiet and well suited to long periods of study and revision.Added to that is the fantastic hospitality and attentiveness displayed by every single person working for Koenig here. There are too many to mention, but they are all stars. And did I mention the food? It was superb, every day.
I must return to Delhi to take the RHCSA and RHCE exams. Thanks to the wonderful training I received from my trainer I don't think I'll need that second take.
If the time comes again when I needed to upgrade my skills or change career path again, I would put Koenig at the top of my list for a training partner.
