Career Enabler (A+, N+, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator & CCNA)
13 Aug to 22 Oct 2012
After having been here for close to 3 months I feel like I will be leaving behind family, the staff at the accommodation and the drivers that take you to and from the centre are some of the friendliest genuine people I have met...
I am 30 years old and live in Surrey in England. I decided I wanted to change my career path and get away from sales roles which I have done all my life. I have a lot of friends and relatives that work in IT and some of them can make in 3 months what I make in a year.
I have always worked around the client end of a computer in companies and was very familiar with the desktop, emails (one click to open them) and the internet (double click the internet explorer icon) but when it comes to what happens behind the scenes, how the email arrives, how you're taken to that website etc. I was a complete novice.
I looked for training in the UK and ended up finding Koenig Solutions. I liked their website and what they had to offer but as no one had recommended them to me they was just another company on the internet in India and why should I trust them. Some of the Questions I asked myself was - Is it just a scam, does this company actually exist? If I do go there will I be able to understand the trainers and will their English be good? Will I like being so far away from home and for such a long time? Will I like the food etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Soon I realised that if I did not take any action that I would never do anything to get the ball rolling so I contacted Koenig, I spoke to a guy in the UK that was able to answer a lot of my questions. I told him that I did not have ANY COMPUTER EXERENCE but this was completely fine for the Career EnablerTM - A+, N+, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator & CCNA regular track path I took.
Well to cut a long and boring story short about all my concerns and worries about coming etc. I booked and come to Dehradun and stayed in the Koenig Student Apartment.
I am writing this testimonial now as I sit on my bed with 4 days left until I leave to return back to the UK and to be honest I don't want to go back. There is amazing views of the mountains from the moment you wake up and all day at from the training centre. The food has been amazing; I have actually put on weight. I have seen some amazing tourist attractions. Oh yeah and I have passed my CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft courses and have my Cisco CCNA exam to take the day before I go home.
After having been here for close to 3 months I feel like I will be leaving behind family, the staff at the accommodation and the drivers that take you to and from the centre are some of the friendliest genuine people I have met. The training centre staff and trainers are even better; they are all so friendly and welcoming but at the same time very professional and the trainers know their stuff. There was never a question to silly to ask and they would always give an explanation over and above what the actual question I was asking was, to embed a good knowledge and understanding in my brain.
Anyway I really could type on for hours about what an amazing time I have had and the qualifications I have earned. I really do have memories I will keep for the rest of my life and have met some other amazing students from all across the globe. Yes you do have to study hard (something which I was not/have never been used to) but the rewards and the feelings when you pass your exams make it all worth it. And I did manage to squeeze in the odd night out and saw lots amazing sites and attractions.
Once again I would like to thank everyone at Koenig Solutions. Words can never say thank you enough.
