It was my first time in India and I have to say: I am impressed by the beauty of the country and the friendliness of the people. India is wonderful and you will be enchanted by the country. This makes me want to come back to beautiful India...
Namaste! My name is Marcel Runte and I am a System Administrator and Technical Application Administrator (as well as a teacher of French) in The Netherlands.
For my new job starting in August, I wanted training on SQL Server 2008 R2 so that I could gain more knowledge to maintain SQL Databases. I was free to choose how and where I would do that. After looking for course details on the Internet, the Koenig Solutions website came up.
Koenig Solutions offers boot camps for different IT courses and certifications. You can choose among 3 different tracks: Regular, Fast and Super Fast. Since I had 1 month to spend on training, I decided to do it at Koenig Solutions, Dehradun. Not only because it is cheaper compared to The Netherlands, but also the course contents look very good as well the fact that it is a Boot Camp. The Country House in Dehradun is a perfect place to stay and to study in the evening in a quiet area without any distractions.
Because I also wanted to Upgrade from MCSE 2003 to MCITP: SA (exams 70-646 and 70-749), I decided to be 3 weeks in India. First I had the MCITP SA Fast Track training. The trainer showed excellent skills to explain each module in a clear overview. He also gave time for questions. Then I did the labs from the books. You get a lot of info in a short time. In the evening you have to study but it is not too demanding since all content is treated during the day. I did the exams but did not pass them so I will retake them in a month.
After that, I had the MS SQL Server 2008 R2, Maintaining and Implementing, as a Regular Track course. My trainer showed excellent training skills. After explaining the main topics of the modules in a very structured way, she demonstrated all steps on a SQL Server 2008 R2 test server. Each time, she keeps me involved by asking questions to make sure I understand everything. There was time for my questions and she answered all of them. Then it was time for me to do the labs from the book. They are very helpful to apply the knowledge into practice. We were on schedule which allowed us to talk about some SQL subjects which are not covered in the book but are good to know. Some of them also appear on the exam though. Every day I studied the book and practiced. Today I passed the 70-432 exams.
Unfortunately, I don't have more time to follow a training now. Otherwise I would have done the follow up training for the 70-450 exams
Overall I had a very good experience with Koenig and it was even better than I would have thought! I certainly recommend Koenig Solutions to other students. Next time, I will plan a few weeks more in order to have some time in between the courses. This allows you to take a break and do some sightseeing as well.
It was my first time in India and I have to say: I am impressed by the beauty of the country and the friendliness of the people. India is wonderful and you will be enchanted by the country. This makes me want to come back to beautiful India!
While I was here, Koenig Solutions won an award for being number 16 out of 200 training institutions. Well done!!!
I would like to thank everybody from Koenig Solutions in Dehradun to let me have an unforgettable time and opportunity to experience this event in my life. Shukriya and bless you all!
