I surely like to thank the Koenig staff for the way they comfort the students and bring the right settings! I will definitely recommend Koenig to open new offices in many destinations and hope they will do the same...
Hi, my name is John van Doorn. I am from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I am a freelance Business Intelligence specialist, with many years of experience in data warehousing. As a freelancer, I am always keen on keeping my knowledge on competitive level. In enterprise data warehousing, Oracle software is used very often, so I decided to follow the Oracle certification track.
When I searched on the web for Oracle courses the first time, I was bothered by the fixed starting dates, fixed duration but not for the prices of the courses I wanted to attend. Then I found Koenig Solutions and was really happy with their flexible course offering. For a very attractive price I can go to India and start the customized training as well! So I decided to make a phone call to the local representative and within a very short time, everything was arranged evidently and professionally.
At the end of 2010, I decided to go to Delhi, because I was very curious about the buzz of this remarkable metropolis. To be in the mid way from the training center and after discussing with other students, I chose for the central Koenig Inn. I never forget the inspiring and nice time I had there. Every day I was intrigued about the amount of different people, goods and conditions you can witness, especially during peak hours. Next to the course, I also took some time to visit the interesting places like the Qutab Minar and the Bahai Temple. By being a bit cautious, I managed to escape the ever feared “Delhi Belly”. Last year I talked in so many occasions about this great experience, and I always wanted to return.
After I pursued the Oracle OCA DBA 11g track in Delhi last year, this year in 2012, I chose for a stay in Goa to follow the Oracle OCP PL/SQL, Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop II, Oracle Database 11g: Data Warehousing Fundamentals and Oracle Warehouse Builder training. My three instructors have a great knowledge in their respective areas and they were working in these areas from many years. They were very smart in adjusting the course to my level of knowledge which I could never expect in group training.
Now exotic Goa is so different! Certainly compared to buzzing Delhi, its atmosphere is very tropic and relaxed. For my stay from January to February, I arranged the Prainha Hotel which has a private beach at Dona Paula. It has a fine garden where you can enjoy the sun and the sea. No mosquitoes can be found at that time. This is a place where you can study effectively in comfortable conditions. With a lounge chair in the garden and an e-reader you’ll be fine!
The staffs are friendly. The air-conditioned rooms are tidy. There were also other students from the Koenig Solutions at Hotel Prainha. So mostly in the evenings we had a good time sitting at the beach, having a drink and enjoying the local catch in surprising Goan style spices.
It may appear like a holiday destination, but still, there was a lot of work to be done within the time given. Like many, from Monday to Saturday I was busy with the training and also on several Sundays I found myself preparing for the exams. But the glorious feeling you get when you find quick progress in knowledge and get a certification in reward.
I surely like to thank the Koenig staff for the way they comfort the students and bring the right settings! I will definitely recommend Koenig to open new offices in many destinations and hope they will do the same.
