My resolve to come to train at Koenig and no other institution was strengthened by the sales representative, who had to endure the back and forth email and phone calls and all my questions(training related). The resolve was further strengthened to come back and tell more potential trainees with my contact points...
First Contact: I found out about Koenig while I was looking for a place to do my CCIE training in 2012. I did not want the option of training in India (because of personal reasons) so was looking for other institutions elsewhere that could offer me training. It was not until late June 2013 that I decided to take the big step and get in touch with the contact on Koenig webpage. My first disappointment was that no one got in touch with me after I wrote the email to request a prospectus. The second disappointment was that even after I made contact with one of the representatives in Dubai they still did not have someone contact me. I later on wrote a strong email and only then did my sales representative get in touch. It was then that I decided I wanted to pursue the courses I am here for. I am happy to say, all the disappointment at the beginning was made up for by the sales representative who was always keen to explain any query I had. I am a bit of a pedantic customer and I am happy to say I am very pleased with her courteous and professional approach even when my requests seemed unreasonable she would always consult and get back to me. Personally comfort experience at Koenig has been due to a big part of how the sales representative treated me. Thank you.
Arrival and Hospitality: I had never been to Dubai, and toward my preparation days there was communication all the way, all I had to do was send my itinerary and I was very pleased to find someone waiting for me with a placard that had my name printed on it. They were very courteous and welcoming, the usual confirmation of identity and we were off to the apartment. The document I was sent was very clear on what I needed to do once I got to the hotel. I got there and was shown my room and it was all part of the pleasing experience here at Koenig Dubai.
Accommodation: I did have to share an apartment with two other gentlemen, but that was not a problem, this was mentioned to me at the beginning and I knew what to expect. There was a qualm with the meals, I am from Africa, lived there all my life and we would want to have some meals that are either international or close to home. I know this is not possible given the location however variety once in a while would do just fine. I did raise this in a very informal forum and this was addressed. I am now happy to say there is variety at meal times. A qualm still remains with the food at lunch time, there should be a choice to between the food court or the hotel food as stated on the website. We appreciate the four course international meals however, there should be variety. The van to pick us up for school and back to the accommodation facilities is always on time, that is truly commendable.
Training and Facilities: This was the first boot camp I have been for, I must say it was intense and there was a lot of information to take in. The facilities have a very good ambiance I was truly appreciative of the general look and feel of the place. It was much cozier than I had imagined. The family-like nature of the environment is truly appreciated and for sure it was very helpful as a stress reliever from the intensity of the CCNP Training.
Instructors/Trainers: My first instructor was very knowledgeable on the subject matter he presented. What really gave me a truly remarkable experience in his class was the fact that after he found out me and my other classmate were from Uganda and the United states respectively. He created a lab (simulation of the practical) that had Uganda, India and the USA, which means we not only walked away with theoretical labs and scenarios, but a wholesome experience. We were able to truly experience how the solution would work in the real world. The objectives of the training on my part were truly surpassed. For the CCNP instructor, I revealed a lot about myself when I say we fitted like a glove. He is truly an amazing instructor with an infectious passion for what he does, I was truly inspired to go out and be an inspiration to others because of him. While it was a lot of information to comprehend, his method of delivery made it seem like it was not a lot. I would only realize how much it was when I would look at the study materials and the schedule he had provided. We covered a lot of the material within record time. Thank you for that.
Conclusion: My resolve to come to train at Koenig and no other institution was strengthened by the sales representative, who had to endure the back and forth email and phone calls and all my questions(training related). The resolve was further strengthened to come back and tell more potential trainees with my contact points. Many of us are training for various reasons, whether its chasing career or a personal improvement plan. Koenig has excelled in proving they are ready to take me there. My contact points and the individuals I spent time with are proof that an institution is only as good as the people you meet at the institution. Thank you Koenig and continue to provide a wow experience.
