I had been planning my visit to India and Koenig for quite a long time...
I had been planning my visit to India and Koenig for quite a long time. I work in the IT industry and wanted to back my career with recognised qualifications. But more than that, I wanted to gain knowledge of the latest technology as far Windows 2000 and 2003 was concerned. My aim was to gain MCSE 2003 and CCNA.
After careful consideration and review of Koenig both online and speaking to at least one person who had been to Koenig, I decided to take the plunge!
I landed in Delhi on the 3rd December 2006. A very nice and kind gentleman picked me up from the airport. The journey from the airport was an eye opener! I saw India as it is! We eventually reached our hotel and I had to make a few phone calls to change my hotel. I had to do this because the hotel I was taken to was not Rangoli Park. Anyway, as I learned afterwards, this was because Rangoli Park didn’t have any vacancies. A few days later I moved to Hotel Rangoli Park. This is a budget hotel. It’s clean and the service is good. The staffs are friendly and can’t do enough for their guests.
The next day I started my MSCE 2003 studies at Koenig. I was on a fast track and so the pace of study was unbelievable! My tutor fell ill after the first week and so was replaced by another the second week. He was also replaced by a third. What I will say about all of them is that they were all very well versed in the subject matter. They were all also very kind and friendly people. They advised me on not just the best way to approach my studies but also on life in Delhi. I enjoyed chatting to them about anything and everything and shared in their good sense of humour!
Speaking of life in Delhi, what a city Delhi is! It’s amazingly fast and varied in its cultures! The driving is scary and fast! Our driver was very good and had a good sense of humour! Somehow, as if by a miracle, everything falls into place and luckily I never witnessed a serious accident!
Going back to the studies, I have to say that if you want to succeed in achieving the right result then it will require some serious hard work on your side despite the expert tution you’ll receive from the tutor(s). At least that was the case with me. I spent many hours in my hotel revising. The end result i.e. the MCSE 2003 qualification is priceless! It was very difficult for me to leave my wife and kids for the duration of the course and I missed them more than I ever imagined. However, my achievement was well worth it in the end! My wife was very supportive and patient with me.
I also have to say that the friends I made while I was in Delhi had a big input in my success. I want thank all of them.
Finally a word or two about the hospitality of staff at Koenig (non-teaching). From looking after your welfare to arranging tours etc, the staff are more than willing to help in every aspect of your stay whilst you are with them. I would like to say a special thank to everyone for all their help and advise.
I would not hesitate to recommend Koenig to anyone with an intention of gaining qualifications and knowledge on various subjects in the IT industry. Infact, I would return to Koenig should I ever require further training in an IT subject.
