Anne Botter (Netherlands), MCITP: Enterprise Administrator – Windows Server 2008 01 Nov to 20 Nov 2010

My name is Anne Botter, I’m 28 years old and currently live in The Netherlands. And I’m currently writing this from the comfort of my very nice hotel room provided by Koenig Solutions.

I have my own IT Company and work for a company called Netformatie in Holland, I occupy 1 of 2 seats in the experts department for office automations. We provide our customers with remote support and hands on support on weekly, monthly or yearly bases. In short, I get to meet a lot of people.

In a spur of the moment I decided to upgrade my knowledge of Server 2008, the same day I contacted Koenig’s Belgium representative Dirk who was very helpful with my quest for knowledge. After that it only took me 1 month to plan my MCITP: Enterprise Administrator training at Koenig Solutions and finally get where I am now. A very friendly taxi driver drove me through the streets of Delhi in the middle of the night to arrive at the Koenig Inn. The hotel personnel were sleeping at the time, but were still very friendly and checked me in no time. After the long flight I was pleased to see a small welcome present in my room. Some crisps, sweets and of course Safe drinks.

The training centre:
The Koenig Solutions training center is only 15 to 30 minutes away from the hotel, depending on traffic of course. When I met my instructor, he told me that we will cover as much of the material we need. Amazingly enough I knew a lot of the MCITP stuff already. The material I didn’t know was explained in detail and only needed to be explained once for me to fully understand it. Within only 19 day’s he had me fully trained, pumped with knowledge and 5 certificates. He even got me to fully understand Active directory and IP converting which where two parts I really needed to get more knowledge of.

In short, the training centre is great, you’re learning computers will be fast and more than adequate for your needs. Remember that when you finish you will probably not want to take your books with you. Just take the soft copies on a USB stick and donate them to a good cause in India, Hema will make sure the books will get to the right place.

The Koenig Inn
There is no better way to experience India! The Koenig Inn is one of the best hotels in my opinion. I’m not only talking about the facilities like sports centre, TV room to play poker in with your newly made friends or even the amazing laundry service. Of course I’m talking about the amazing people that make your stay so much more comfortable. The hotel manager did absolutely everything to make me happy. If you want to go shopping, he will arrange someone to come with you and get the best price, if you want to go sightseeing, he will personally make sure you will see what you want and give you the best time of your life, if there is anything else. For example, my phone broke down. He will make sure it will get fixed and makes sure you will have a warrant with the repair. My phone was fixed within a day for only 30 Euros, they’ve completely made it into a new phone for me. I was well amazed because the repair would have cost me about 120, - in Holland and I would have my phone back in about 2 weeks. Forget 4 or 5 star hotels when you’re here, Of course the Koenig Inn is not the same as a fancy hotel, trust me I’ve seen them all. But you will miss out on the true warmness and kindness of the hotel staff if you decide to go with a 5 star hotel.

In short
India actually is incredible, Koenig Solutions is one of the best training facilities I have been ever, and the Koenig Inn is the hotel to be in.

A special thanks to everyone at Koenig Solutions for arranging everything I needed.
