My name is Alan Ellicott and I am a self employed IT consultant/contractor from the UK. I have had experience in designing all sorts of software projects in various design environments for over 25 years but for the last 5 years I have been in a more managerial role with little hands on practice. I needed to find training in a current technology as I had fallen behind and was looking for a .NET 4.0 Web Developer course at a reasonable cost. Koenig immediately came to mind because the last company that I worked for had sent three of their programmers on a MCPD.NET 3.5 Enterprise course and they all had come back with good comments and exam success. I also investigated other providers in the UK but their pricing was so much more expensive, there was no reason to consider them.
Arrival and Accommodation
I was met by the Koenig staff at the airport and taken immediately to Koenig Student Apartment where I was greeted and welcomed. I had my own clean room with en-suite bathroom with air conditioning. Over the period of the course the food was so excellent that I have actually put weight on!! Mini-buses took us to and from the college every day. Cost of accommodation, food and daily travel to and from the college is, of course, included in the price.
The teaching laboratories are well appointed with the latest equipment and air conditioning. At lunchtime we were able to order food from a number of local restaurants including Indian/Chinese but also Subway, McDonalds and Dominos pizza.
My trainer for MCTS: Web Application Development with Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 was absolutely excellent and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever about the way she conducted her teaching. She was totally focused for the whole 18 days on making sure that I understood everything that I was being taught. If she had the slightest doubt that I had not understood something, she was prepared to go through the things again and again.
The general consensus among fellow students was that Koenig tries very hard indeed to make sure they provide the best service possible and this was evident in every aspect. I believe that the caretakers at the apartment have had proper catering training and it is clear that the trainers are very knowledgeable about their specialist areas. Koenig evidently encourage knowledge upgrades within the organization as this has a beneficial effect on the service they provide.
In conclusion, I can’t think of a negative thing to say. In fact, while I was in Delhi, I decided to extend my stay and have taken a MCTS: SharePoint 2010, Application Development course as well to compliment the Web Developer one.
