Microsoft SharePoint, also known as Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies, is a Content Management System with integrated search functionality developed by Microsoft that allows users to work in a web-based collaborative environment. Microsoft provides certain built-in functionality, and third party developers can also develop custom modifications to extend functionality.

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to plan, deploy, and configure server farm solutions with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. The course focuses on key deployment and configuration tasks

Prerequisites :

Before attending this course, students must have a working knowledge of:

• Experience in implementing, managing, and supporting a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 environment.
• Basic knowledge of Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 interoperability.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and IIS.
• Working knowledge of networking. For example TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS).
